Caitlin Forgione, from Clifton, Va., received her bachelor’s degrees in health, physical education and exercise science and German from VCU in 2013. With the support from her Fulbright grant, Forgione researched the Four Components of Instructional Design (4c/ID) Model as it pertains to the education of physical therapists in Bochum, Germany at the Hochschule fuer Gesundheit. Her research goal is to gain an in-depth understanding of how the 4C/ID model could be adapted to physical therapy education in the United States. Forgione plans to earn a doctoral degree in physical therapy with the goal of eventually becoming a physical therapist and professor. Forgione hopes to one day integrate her Fulbright research into physical therapy education methods in the United States.
